LIBRARY DEPARTMENT

NEW STUDENTS ORIENTATION

I Take This Opportunity To Welcome You And Introduce Many Of Our Programs, Services, And Fine Resources, Both Print And Electronic That You Will Be Able To Access Throughout Your University Years. The Library Is At The Core Of Your Research And Learning At The University. It Is Our Goal To Support Your Work And To Contribute To The Quality Of Your Learning Experience Here.


Library Department:

  1. We have 3 libraries –
  2. Post graduate library for post graduate students located at the old site, -
  3. Undergraduate library for undergraduates at the new site and
  4. Law library for law students at the new site.

Collections:

  1. We have one of the finest collections among Universities: about 10,700 volumes, CDs, DVDs, more than 70 magazines, 3 major National Newspapers, fiction, rich reference resources, and experienced staff.
  2. Our collection consists of Management, Education, Sociology, Politics, Economics, Islam, Accounting, Computer Studies, Law, Business Studies, Journals, Magazines, Periodicals and Electronic Books. Library materials are in closed stacks and must be paged or accessed by the circulation staff

Library Hours:

  1. Monday - Friday 8: 00 AM – 10:00 PM
  2. Saturdays and Sundays. 8: 00 AM – 6: 00 PM
  3. Closed on public holidays

Borrowing Policies of Library materials

  1. A current identity card or library card is required to borrow the items .After registration students may borrow books for 1 Week, subject to renewal. Library Facilities:
  2. Library users may access online resources and the internet from the computers in the room. The computers require university password to login, which can be obtained at the circulation desk. These resources supplement the library collections in support of the teaching and research activities of the University.

Rules and Regulations:

  1. Cell Phone: Cell phone use is not permitted in the libraries
  2. Security: Please secure your personal belongings. The library is not responsible for un attended to items
  3. Food & Beverages: No food is allowed in to the libraries
  4. Smoking is prohibited: In accordance with the university policy, tobacco products are not permitted any where in the library
  5. Dress Code: Please maintain the proper dress code in the library
  6. While in the Library we ask you to act courteously and to respect the needs of other users and staff. Please switch off mobile phones or set them to silent mode, refrain from eating and drinking and keep noise to a minimum.
